OUR STORY
Big Papa's was brought to life after a need was seen in the community for good quality, nutritious hot meals!! We began serving community meals every week, and as word spread, our community meals became extremely popular! We then developed our skills for creating & preparing food and came up with a business idea so we could continue serving our community, building relationships, and doing what we love! This is a newly established business, and we look forward to connecting with our community through the comfort of good food!

delivering a truly unique and memorable experience from start to finish. We are operating in a few different ways and we are really excited to start putting our passions and ideas into play! Big Papa's Kitchen is a café, a catering business and a hub for the people in our community. We believe that Big Papa's is more than just food on a plate; it’s about building relationship's, understanding clients personal style & needs, serving quality food, and delivering a complete experience. Come and visit us in the café, at a community meal or turn to us for family meals, birthday parties, business meetings, morning/afternoon tea shouts, weddings, and any other event where you may need a hand or two with preparing Quality Local Food!!

Our café is located in Papanui Christchurch, and is a beautiful space to catch up with friends, knock out some work, read a book, eat some good quality food, or simply, a place to waste some time!!
We offer cold beverages, Hot beverages, quality cabinet food, and a menu that anyone would be stoked to order from!

COMMUNITY MEALS
Free community meal open to anyone who wants to connect every Wednesday night!!
Earlier on in 2021, we started to see a need in our community for hot, nutritious meals & a need for human connection. In collaboration with Northgate Community Services Trust, this is how our community meals were born! Every Wednesday evening at 5.30pm, we put on a meal for anyone in the community that needs a meal or wants to connect with other people. This has been extremely successful, and wish to continue providing this service for people! Come and hang out with us all while eating a wonderful meal!
